The only time I have EVER street raced in the past few years was with the following conditions:
- against my good friend and his Evo
- 4 miles of flat, straight highway
- absolutely NO traffic for miles
- 10-100 runs (no launching), or sometimes just up to 90
If I'm out on a Sunday afternoon and I see a nice car wants to have a little fun on the highway, I'll do a quick 50-90 pull if there's no traffic.
When I see what the local ricers do, it's disgusting how senseless they are. One of them nailed a minivan at the local "strip" last year.
They always ask me to run, and I ALWAYS turn them down. And then they nag, and nag, and nag.
One kid was beat up for turning down a race last summer!
I really despise the ricer car scene as a whole. That DOES NOT include Supras. Most Supra guys I have met are mature and very cool guys. In fact, all of them have been. There are exceptions with every car.
To the SoCal Vette owner who had lots of common sense not to give in to a streetrace, here's to ya.
Absolutely. A guy in a tin-box Honda asked to race me after he gets his turbos installed. Of course, that's a no-go for any self-respecting Vette owner.

Then you and I are in SEVERE dissagreement. The Supra community is full of children of all ages, celebrating themselves every chance that they get. I left that damn community because I wanted no part in the nonsense that goes on there any longer. Supra owners are living jokes, period. I have only liked about 5 percent of those I've met, and to those few I sincerely appreciate their attitudes and friendship. The rest need a reality check and and a ball and chain so they stay on the ground.

That's too bad. All the guys I've met have been very cool.
The forum is another story. Maybe 10% of the people on there are worth listening to. Personally, I miss the pre-F&F online Supra community.
Street racing is for that select group of idiots who don't see that their actions could lead to very dire consequences.
The supra forum has been closed to new registrations. Doesn't matter anyway. There's nothing that an idiot with a Supra (and the urge to prove somethig) can read that will make him less of an idiot when he pulls up to a C5.
Good on you for not lowering yourself to that level.
