My 98 has 19,000 miles on it and still looks new. I love it and can't imagine ever getting rid of it.

I'm at 48,000 on this motor and going strong. Bought the car with 23,000 a year ago and put 25,000 long distance miles on it with no worries. Dipped into the motor a couple of times for "enhancements" (read: cam) and have all the usual bolt ons.

These cars are built tough and take a lot of abuse.

93,000+ miles on 1998 essentially stock coupe, no problems (I had an extended warrenty just for insurance).

-I get 46,000 miles on back tires, 55,000 miles on front tires

-Front brake pads changed at 46,000 miles and I changed all four to ceramic at 92,000 miles (they did NOT need changed).

-Daily Driver, get 22.8 miles per gallon normally (have gotten 32 miles per gallon on trip).

Got mine with 38,000 2 1/2 years ago. At 84,000 now. I had a flex plate explode due to cold welds from the factory. Ate my transmission when that failed. New beefed up tranny and a high stall T/C. Running strong.
O'Yeah, I'm getting about 20,000 on the rear tires and 25,000 on the fronts. 19 mpg average, and 28 mpg on the road.

There are quite a few higher mileage C5's on the Forum. With preventive maintenance, there is no reason they will not last. Mine is a 98 that has never had major problems. I did have a rash of column lock issues until the mechanism was totally removed during the recall.
