What is the typical loss of power from the flywheel (crank) to the rear wheels. I was told a conservative number of 15%. Does this sound reasonable? I've heard as low as 12 and as high as 20.
So... I'd guess the car would dyno about 335 bone stock and I'm now sporting 50 more rwhp after bolt-ons and a dyno-tune.
FWIW I asked Jeff at CAM for a road racing tune which stresses safe air fuel ratios and broad torque... so we could have leaned it out more for a few more ponies, but when you're WOT for 30 min sessions you want safety and no detonation.
I have an 04 comm Z. Right now, just halltech intake, x pipe, and borla stingers...and a tune of course. Pulling rear wheel: 369 hp and 366 tq. I'm thinking about adding LG longtube headers in the next couple of months. Thanks for your input...I appreciate that. I don't know why no one else can give their two cents but thats the way it goes.
