The drivers side exhaust wants to stay tilted , anyone have any idea how to correct. Already tried to loosen the bolts and turn it, and tried to bend it, nothing seems to work. Its the Z06 Ti exhaust, this is the 2nd one put on and they have both done this, with the stock h-pipe and the magnaflow x-pipe.
thanks
I had the same problem on the drivers side with my Corsa's, tried a replacement, did the same thing, finally took to a muffler shop and had to remove over the axle pipe and had to remove some of the bend to bring the tips up.
Did you loosen all the bolts up to and including the ones at the exhaust manifolds? I've had this problem several times and each time have been able to solve it this way. Loosen them all, then work from the back of the car forwards, tightening slightly until you get a perfect alignment. Are the spring-loaded mounts even with each other? Also make sure you have the flat pins on the mufflers stuck into the proper slots in the rubber mounts above them. Finally, you might consider tack welding the connections to get them to stay put.

NO haven't tried up front yet, i'll try that .
thanks
It took a little work to adjust my ghl's, back and forth with the bolts twist and turn, etc. I'm sure you have tried this, but I'd be surprised if it took more than this. Good luck
If you have a connection at the right muffler, undo it and make the adjustment there. Height seems to be the only problem, all other adjustments will cant the tips. Or not.
It just came from the muffler shop, he said he tried everything.
Hi dyal980 -
Then take it to a GOOD muffler shop
Seriously - if you losen the flange bolts where the catback bolts to the h-pipe, then wiggle the system around until they are even - then tighten it back up, and they are still not straight, then you need to ajust the bend of one of the pipes.
A good muffler shop will have this done in 30 minutes or less. Take your jakcing pucks with you....
mine did the same....i just put some washers on the right side hanger and lowered the right side muffler to match, after trying to different left side mufflers

Thats exactly what I did then you can form the tabs in the hangars to fine tune the level
my muffler shop re adjusted mine, then cut the hanger on the muffler and welded it back on where it needed to be. because even with the adjusting it still was a tad bit off, and i hate when things aren't perfect on my car
