Dyno Question
Got my bone stock 2001 Z06 dynoed today and it pulled a consistant 342 SAE Corrected horsepower...
What does that translate to at the flywheel? What is the formula?
If you assume a 15% loss in the transaxle does it equal 342/.85 = 402 ? That seems too high...
Thank you!
Rick out.

Re: Dyno Question (Ricker812)
342*1.15= 393 hp at the flywheel. So, if you did have 393 hp at the flywheel subtracting 15% driveline loses would be 393/1.15= 342 rwhp.

Re: Dyno Question (4cefed)
4ce ... that is incorrect...to get an approximate flywheel number you DIVIDE the rwhp by .85
and you do the inverse to do the inverse
which is 402 which is correct....nearly every stock Z06 I have seen dynoed (including both of mine) have been in the 400 to 405 range

Re: Dyno Question (Ram Air Tony)
Joel,
Tony is correct on that. Aaron will be calculating your FWHP using the same method. RWHP/.85 = approx. FWHP
