Default fuel rail covers

due to college I can hardly afford to do upgrades to my C5. I love the look of the carbon fiber fuel rail covers but don't feel like paying such a high price. I found good looking sheets of carbon fiber decals which won't fade, crack, stretch, or spread like real carbon fiber does. it will always stay perfect. I'm very handy when it comes to these type things and it would only cost $30.00 or so for the material I would need. should I give it a try or wait till I finish college in a year?

Keep checking the for sale section or Ebay for a real set. The decals are crap. Just be glad you have a C5 while you're in college.

gotta love having the C5 in college Where do you go? im at the Naval Academy

are you talking about like covering the whole FRC in a large sheet of carbon fiber decal? that would be hot, if i were you, id spray the covers to match the color of the car (unless you have black, then do red or yellow or something that will pop out, then cut the decal sheet around that, that yould look awesome

go for it, give it a shot, worse comes to worse itll peel off and youll be out a little beer money. definately post up some picturew when you are done, and wheee did you see thoes decals?

I'll order them in a day or two and post some pics thanks for the great feed back. I guess $30 would just suck to lose not the end of the world.

Default FLAMES, BABY! (When you're hot, you're hot.)

I'd like to get in on the fuel rail covers pictures. I just got these in last week and put them on Saturday. I love 'em.

Paint up your manifold in white...that'd look killer.

All you have to lose is $30 and perhaps some time peeling them back off if they don't look good. Let us know how it turns out if you do this.

Nice and expensive is CORRECTO!.... I just added some pieces to my engine combined with chrome pieces and I love it but yes, the middle part between the fuel rails is what I'm missing!!!
