5th Bow Seal
1- How much does this seal cost my dealer says $600
2- Will my GMPP warranty cover the repair?
3- I thought I saw a "service bulletin" on this about 6 months ago where the repair was under warranty
Any and all help is appreciated Thanks!!!
1) Like 75$ from fred beans plus S&H. Retail from dealer is about 130.
2) Nope, GMPP does not cover weatherstripping.
3) http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/....php?qstId=214 That's your link right there. The warranty there is the original one. GMPP will not cover.
When doing the job, you have to find the nuts by removing some foam that covers them. You'll see what I am talking about when you get the new seal. Give yourself about 30 mins for the swap. Pull te foam off, undo the two nuts on each side, pull the seal out. Next find the way that best suits you to push the new seal in. I liked hook the bottom edge in while pressing the top down with a small flat-blade screwdriver all the way around. Next, screw the nuts back onto the new seal and sover them with the foam (I used some windshield sealant to hold the foam in place, as the double-sided tape would not hold) GL, it's cake really.
