Help
I was driving home tonight and hit something, I think it was a cinder block. That is not good... BUT the car is fine. THANK GOD!!! That is not what I need help with. Sry. When that happened, One of my guage bezels, the one around my gas guage, fell. So now it has the gas needle stuck! Is there anything I can to to keep from tearing my ENTIRE dash apart just to fix this one little bezel. I bought the car with them on and have heard of the super glue discoloring the rest of the area in there. I am a student adn work all the time, I really don't have time to not beable to use the car can anyone help me? Anyone in the ft. myers area tear it apart before and be able to help me? The dealership charges $75/hour. I am NOT paying that!! Extra info. just to help. It is a 97 C5 coupe. that's about it
THANKS
Doug
Doug unfortunately you will have to tear the whole thing apart to get to the bezel It should not take you more than an hour to get to it though. Its easy but kind of involving.

The Crazy glue gets too brittle with age. After going through this 3 times i wised up and used a 5 minute 2 part epoxy which remains pretty supple, Apply with a tooth pick and give it a good 30 minutes to cure before re-installing

you think you hit a cynder block and you are worried about a gas gauge bezel???????? did the car hit it or your head if you ran this over get that in to somewhere and find out what it tore the sh*t out of under the car. or what wheel you bent. or what suspension part took the hit before you are driveing home and the thing falls aparts and lose control and the next thing you hit is another car or worse a person walking down the road.

I have inspected the damage this morning and it looks like some sort of oil, Not a cinder block it was 11:30 PM and it look like 'SmasheD' pieces of a cinder black. sorry I did not specify that before. I tore a little fiberglass under the car and there is an oily substance all ove ther drivers underside of the car. It isnt from my car because it is also on the front of the car where i hit this stupid thing
