Removing body side moldings
Thanks
C5-GIRL

Good luck

Look at the 4th or 5th post.. he explains how he does it with a few items found in his tackle box and garage shelf...
I'm not sure what mods you've tackled solo C5-Girl... ie: when you lowered your baby, did Mikey help you do that or were you on your own?
I have not removed my own but I have removed items similar... it usually takes patience, time and some elbow grease... The big thing is to remove the residue and not leaving scratches behind...
Read that thread and see what you think... Do a search for a few others.. there is 3 or 4 a week on BSM removal... if not more...
Having help is not a bad thing... but if you have the skills, rock on!!

I know people around here do not say that alot but, I actually like them. I had a set installed.

You need 14lb test monfilament fishing line (others sizes might work, but that is a good start), a hand-held blow-dryer, and a can of WD-40.
Start at the back end and work to the front. Spray WD-40 on the top side of the adhesive strip. Warm up the area with the blow-dryer, and then slowy start "sawing" the adhesive strip using the fishing line.
Have your assistant (who is manning the blow-dryer becuase you need both hands for the fishing line....) gently pry the end of the BSM away from the body as you continue your sawing. You will break the fishing line many times, just get a new piece and back at it.
Once you have the BSM off, there will be adhesive left on the paint surface. Removing this is where the sore-thumb syndrome comes into play
.You can rub the adhesive off with your thumbs - you'll see that I mean.
My friend WAMARA and I performed the removal on his beautiful MY Z06, and you can't tell it ever had a BSM.

Good idea using the masking tape to ward off scratches - I'll do that next time!
