1 Nasty Z Looks to me like you got it covered! Nice pick-up on chiefDave being late production! One could only think you have a very early Z, it will be cool to see if this keeps going to find any earlier. Grateful for the help!

Z11409 After spinning the tires and a little wheel hop(Z06 fashion) we're banging the gears now! Our cars came from the same month, your#2486, mine#2376. How did you get this info from the factory? Being yours is the 336 Z in production, 1 Nasty Z is way down there! Question; were the Z's built in a block say 10 give or take in a row, to accommodate all the special parts or were they just mixed in with the coupes and verts? Thanks for everyones help!

Would love to find out how he knows his was #336? Considering mine would be lower numerically.

1 Nasty Z, good question, hope he replies! But if # are correct you are still very low. One out of six 2001 vettes were Z06. If yours is 1510, divided by 6 your car might be about the 251 Z built. If and a really big if Chevy started Z production at the very start of 2001 production! I to would love to know more, but this might be as good as it gets. Any one else want to jump in? Thanks lockz!!

saber, That is fantastic! I first saw the reply about 6 am, and didn't know for sure what a pilot was. Now at 4:30 ish watching Barrett-Jackson they ran a 61 pilot and gave an explaination, a pilot was so early in production they slowed down the production line so workers could become in tune with all the new parts! Question, if your # is 00024 I would think your Z is not #24 but most likely even earlier? Thanks for jumping in! lockz!

Even though I'm new to the CF, I feel very lucky to have had a Corvette all of my adult life. Got my first in high school, now on my sixth(had a 1958 for 18 years)so vettes have been a passion! This has been my only THREAD to date and I just wanted to express my sincere Thanks to all that have got involved. Save the WAVE! lockz
