I got a set of MSD wires from a client (Free) and was wondering
if they are worth putting on or selling instead, I had them on my FBody but I am concerned the hotter spark may throw a code?

There has been some talk on here about the quality of that brand, Some swear by them, some at them.
You may want to do a search and make an informed decision.
I was wondering about that, I did a search and saw something about not being able to use the factory looms, but that was on a C4.
sometimes unless it is a huge mod, it is better to leave things alone
I think they are, but I have heard the stock wires aren't that bad either. Those that swear at them...I don't understand why, they can go just as any other wire can, if you ask me. I have been running them on my current car (2000 vette) and ran them on my 1999 Z28 and had "NO" problems with them at all.
Running them with kool socks on my 99 FRC with no issues. The wires that were on the car when I purchased it (not sure if they were the stock wires or not) where causing some buzzing noise in the stereo. The MSD wires have eliminated that.
are the cool sox a must for these cars?
It hit 60 degress the other day, I took her out for some errands and watched the temp gauge climb over 220, the center console was even hot. I would be concerned about melting some thing.
as others have said, some people wouldn't get anything else, some people won't touch them.
One thing to consider, there won't be any noticable difference if your stock wires are still functioning, so unless there is some reason to change them, don't bother.
