At our dealership NOT one person has ever said a word about buying a used car from the lot that had the noise. Nobody has ever tried to get the car/truck for less $ because of it. I'm not saying that it is a normal condition on all vehicles, but IT IS NORMAL on the genIII engines that GM produces. If you talk to people who actually work on these vehicles every day they will tell you that they do not fail, especially because of so called "piston slap". it is just another reason for people to b**** and whine about something else in their life that they don't think is perfect!!!!
