Again, I did ask, so thanks for your opinions. I have alredy made an appointment for Sat. to get them changed back. When it's up on the rack for two hours just getting them as straight as possible and at six plus feet off of the ground you get a different perspective (or lose site of one). In hinde site they look pretty bad but, at least I tried and had the gutts to put it out there and ask for opinions. I'll have night mares for a long time about this one. Thanks for you help fellas. Now please stop .
The after pictures are awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!
As one person said don't walk, run to the before picture fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
gk -- I have the Corsa Ti system, so I CAN'T weld my tips on. But, I hated the tips that came with the system. So, here's what I did:
I found some tips I liked (I think they're Magnaflow tips with a slight angle cut and rolled lip -- I was going for a close-to-stock-style look). I went to an automotive shop and found an exhaust adapter/reducer piece that would slip fit OVER my Ti pipes and INSIDE of my new tips. I pushed piece through the tips and had them tacked in place. Then, I sawed some slits in the end of the slip-fit end of the tip piece so that, when clamped down, the piping could squeeze down around the Ti. I used the same pipe clamps that came with the Corsa system to attach the tips to my system.
If you think you'll be changing tips, maybe you could go a similar route.
personally i'm a quad tip fan myself - but i do NOT like those - it reminds me of my C4 - can you put some tips on those like the bullet tips?
then it might look cool!
I personally like quad tip setups, but those which you have aren't that great. The before is exponentially better! So I'd put them back on as quick as I could. And forget that horrible incident ever occured. I'm glad you are a good sport!
ahh you just orderded the tips only..I have the SLP Loudmouth cat-back and don't have those tips....too bad they don't sell the tips seperately that come with the Loudmouth cat-back.. i think they look much better
here's a pic, not to good but just for comparisson.
