Hi.
Anyone in Dallas or DFW (Texas) area know how to lower the C5 all the way to the ground without using the Coil Overs set up? If you're interest in helping me, please send me a PM. I will pay for your work. Thanks.
PS.
I post the simalar thread as this one a few hours ago with more detail of my ride, but some a$$ must have done something to my thread.

My rear wheel gap is 1/2" measure from fender to tire which is perfect, but my front wheel gap is 1" which I would like to lower it just 1/2". Is it posible for me to cut the black rubber thing that rest under the leaf spring and the bolt?

No. You can slam the back until the tucks under the fenders - no worries, but that 1 inch gap on the front will never be smaller.
I removed my front bolts entirely and it only dropped 1/4 inch.
If you want it slammed - you have to get coilovers.

Air dam has since been removed. All 3 pieces. In any case. they are designed to rub.
I drive it to work and we have speed humps at work. With a little foresight and some manoeuvring, I can get over those with minimal touching. A&A Rocker Rails and the new dual wheeled Frame Savers are your friends

does it run hotter than without the air dam? the air dam has a functionality after all.

looks sweet slammed tho!@!!1
172deg F to 178deg F. The highest it has been is 185deg F. I had it off during the summer (in CT) and it was fine. I have a 160deg thermo and my fans programmed to come on at much lower temps.
yeah thats low. one thing i notice though, and it may just be my sense of whatever, but seeing it slammed that low really begs for larger rims and lower profile tires...to me those tires that are on it almost look like truck tires...guess its the lack of space around them. regardless, its your car, if u want to lower it that low and can still drive it more power to ya. im gonna keep mine just low on the stock bolts and keep my air dam intact hahah. after all, i dont race mine or auto cross or anything and still enjoy somewhat of a less "firm" ride. black would look sweet with 18's and 19's in chrome or gunmetal and some lower prof tires.....jsut a suggestion. u dont have to defend it.
