Default Who makes these door bars?

They're similar to the ones offered by R-D Racing (second photo), but the bar seems to be a little shorter and leaves a smaller open area when installed.

TIA

They want $250 for them. Hell I could go make my own and paint them the same colour as the car for $50.

Default Door Bars

At the Houston Autorama, I discovered I forgot all about the doors having to be open. Used two of my Shop-Vac crevice attachments. No negative comments, and the car won best in class. Point is only that you do not have to spend a fortune for these things. Plan on making a pair and painting them myself. Leaves more money for other mods. Wish I had a better picture here at work.

Yeah, I think your right about making them myself. I'm beginning to wonder if the ones on the yellow car pictured above are home made because I've scoured the net looking for them and had zero luck so far.

Thanks everyone for all the responses

I came across some at the sema show, they are called retention rods. Their is only a couple of places selling them right now and they come in 2 lengths 22 inch & 30 inch. Price was like 50 bucks i think. I have the web site at home, i will post it when i get home.

Might try doing a search on this forum...about 4 months ago there was a tread for DIY....easy and inexpensive. May have downloaded the file at home.

I think these may be the ones bowtiebubba was talking about, the retention bars are about halfway down the page.
