Default Corvette Palace???

Im sure this has been beat to death...but I couldnt find any old threads on it....anybody deal with Corvette Palace in Austin? Specifically, how good are their cars? Im considering the 2003 Electron Blue Z06 with 16,000 miles on it. Im kind of leary of buying a car sight unseen, but Ive heard good things about the qulity of their cars....just that they tend to be a little pricey. Anybody here buy from them?? Thanks!!

Purchased my car from Corvette Palace. They don't negoitate more than about $1,000 off of advertised price but the cars are generally low mileage cars in excellent condition. Shannon Rector gave me a lot of information on 3 cars I was considering. Sent me pictures and her opinion of what the 3 were like. All were under 5,000 miles but what I was looking for: O3 or 04 and black over black Z 06. After numerous conversations and becoming familiar with my **** needs she steered me towards a 04 that she said was a 10 in condition and had 1,400 miles. Had never been titled as it was owned by the owner of a dealership on the east coast. Saw many pictures and felt confident I could trust her opinion after numerous conversations. Other members on the forum I had communicated with and purchased their car there also had good things to say.
Bought the car without seeing it in person. She shipped it in covered transport to my door in Oklahoma. When the driver backed it off the transport I could not believe how nice it was. The driver told one of my sons that I had done well in choosing the car because it was as nice a Corvette that he had ever transported. I was totally happy with my experience and would do it again.

thanks man, thats pretty much similar to things Ive heard from the few other people ive talked to who have delt with them. Like I said above, the one Im looking at has 16,000 miles on it....but I figure if they're selling it, it must be in damn good condition...especially for a 16,000 mile car. Im hoping she'll come down about 2 grand in price given the fact theyve been sitting on this particular car since last september and its still the middle of january.

Bought my vert in early Nov from Corvette Palace. Best car buying experience I have ever had. They are top notch and I will buy from them again. Shannon is a pleasure to work with and my vette is mint. 2004 vert with 3480 mi. Had it shipped to Vegas, site unseen, and it was everything they promised it would be. I too was nervous about sending such a big check, site unseen, but I trusted them based on their reputation and have no regrets.

PM if you have further questions.

bought mine from them a year ago this month. They were a pleasure to deal with, answered all my questions, sent detailed pictures, and delivered a flawless car directly to my door step. I couldnt be more satisfied with their service.

I dealt with them when I was looking....very nice people and seemed very honest. They definitely ask top dollar, or more, though. They barely negotiate either, they said their margins are too close. Who knows if that's true or not, but if they are ripping people off, they make you feel good about it.

I got a vette almost exactly like the one I looked at at their place for $4500 less by searching around the country..... and I'm happy!

Never mind I just found it. Some nice vettes in that place. I think I will try to talk the wife into that 03 EB Z with 2900miles. 39K is pretty stiff though.

My buddy bought his low mileage 2002 ZO6 from them via the phone (he is in Hawaii) and when that thing pulled up to me on base, I was amazed at the excellent condition it was in!!! It was a smooth and easy transaction too. They are A+!

Oh and they didn't drop much off of the price (it was the sale of the month car), but they shipped it to Hawaii for free. I was ticked, because I should have went through them when I bought my vette!

It is not my intent to dispute anything anyone here has said about Corvette Palace, but, as an Austin native who has visited their showroom many times, let me add my two cents worth:

1. They have really nice cars and don't sell anything that is not first class, at least in appearance. (Who knows about the mechanical condition?)

2. They are overpriced. I bought my Vette for about $7000 less than they offerred for the exact car.

3. Arrogance is a religion with Corvette Palace. When I counter offered on a car they had in stock (the exact clone of the one I bought), they not only declined my offer (fine, it's up to you) but they insulted me by suggesting that I was an idiot and/or a liar.

My recommendation: look for the car you want somewhere else. You'll save money.

If any of you are considering buying one of their cars. PM me and I'll be happy to go by their showroom, look it over, and give you my feedback. Despite my personal distaste for the husband and wife team who run the place, I'll give you an honest opinion.

Bought mine there. Kinda pricey but seem to have very nice cars. They kinda jerked me around on my C4 trade-in but that wasn't totally unexpected. I think they are a little arrogant if you ask me. At the last second they claimed they didn't have a replacement top for my trade-in so they dropped the price they said they'd give me for it. I probably will not buy from them again because of that.
