Jack the car, (ALWAYS USE JACK STANDS), then remove the wheels, clean, primer, and paint the brakes, put the wheels back on.

I used the red caliper kit from Eckler's. It is a two part paint that dries hard like an epoxy. Goes on easy and has a great red color. Unfortunately it's about $30 but I think in the end it will be worth the price.

Great mod and relatively easy to do. You'll wish you had done it earlier.
I did mine in half a day with paint from Autozone.....RED.
There have been some recent posts with excellent instructions and pics.

i bought the kit from auto zone - i recommend buying some extra brake cleaner though - i went through 2 cans on the rear brakes on my C4.after painting the rears only - it looks like i have enough paint left to do 3 or 4 more cars!
not bad for $15!
