I dislike the C6 body style. It has NOT grown on me at all. In fact, I like it less. The coupe makes the car look front biased. The grin is silly. The rear looks like a bat-mobile. The door cut line is angular and arbitrary... The interior? I keep reading on how much better it is.... What am I missing??? Acres of silver/grey plastic. And the elimination of the passenger dash-mounted grab bar immediately destroyed the cool retro-link to the Sting-Ray and re-established the Chevy Citation vertical dash... I don't think the dash was much of an improvement at all. I prefer the all-black dash on my C5Z and love the grab handle detail.

The performance of the C6Z is certainly not up for debate - but this thread is one of styling, no? I think that afficionados can appreciate the bulges, engine, and stance of the new Z, whereas the average gawker would see the new Z as any other C6 coupe. The C5 FRC/Z stands out at once as something different from the coupes. And yes, it does give it more of a "fighter jet" proportion. JM.02W!

Same for me, except I had a C3 when I first saw the C5 FRC

My thoughts exactly. The C5 will be a timeless design, but the FRC is the best-looking of all!

Never been a fan of the "bubble back window". I like the C3's up until 78, I own a 76 and an 02 Z. The "flat" style window looks so much better IMHO than the bubble back, plus with the Z and a partition I get a trunk.

Default FRC/Z06 body style

I haven't been around for a while, so don't all jump me at the same time if this is a stupid or worn out question but, is the FRC body style gone forever? I think the idea of a 500HP 06 Z06 is pretty cool, but I just like my 2000 FRC too much to change.

Yes, it is gone. Because of the better aerodynamics of the coupe body style, I don't think the FRC body style will be back.(could be wrong)

Same here! I didn't care for the C5 Coupe when it came out in '97, but when FRC was introduced, had to have it. Same for C6, I got one after a while as I think it looks better than C5 Coupe, especailly with after market wheels. Love 'em both, but favor the FRC.

First post to forum(by the way it is great) I think my 03 Z, is the best lookin car in the world. Needs no improvements! The chopped back window makes the look, in my opinion.

I also like the look of the C5Z better. It's the shape of the roof piller mostley. The roof piller of the C5 coupe has become dated and was caried over to the C6, big mistake in my opinion. I like the C6 vert better because of it. Look at the shape of A Z06- FRC roof piller..... it makes the car, too my eye.

I honestly don't like the coupe/vert C5. Does nothing for me.

The Z06 is what made me into a C5 fan.

I also agree about the C6 Z06. At first I was in love. Then as I appreciated the C5 Z06 more, the less I liked the C6. The headlights/interior are gorgeous and an improvement, but the rest of the car seems lacking.

I think the Z06 look is more "Bad Boy" looking than the vert or coupe. It gets my vote as best looking C5 design
