Eckler's advertises a set of "side spoiler savers" designed to "fix" a factory issue of too large a bolt hole. Where do these go and are they necessary/helpful?
The spoiler is in three pieces and the long middle piece is hinged but the two side pieces are not. If you catch the side pieces on a curb they will tear off, over the fasteners. These units hold them in place better
Not necessary, but they do help.....
When I bought my car I found that the left side spoiler had been pulled off and stuck back on halfa$$ed. Made the proper repair and got some of these to reinforce the left and right spoilers. Worked real well - stronger fit to body. My $.02.
If you stand eye to eye with your corner spoiler when the Vette is on a lift... you might see daylight between the corner of the spoiler and the front bumper. This is commonly referred to as "droopy spoiler syndrome"... no joke intended.
I must admit that prior to installing those little "boomerang" styled pieces of plastic I had my doubts if they would work. But once installed I was surprised to find that they do indeed work to provide the needed support to close those corner gaps and snug the corner spoilers up to where they should be.
Conclusion: They work; they do what there supposed to do. I like 'em.
I bought them and have them in the garage. I also bought new side pieces from Gene Cully cause mine were scratched up and deformed. How do these go on? Put the side piece up then the boomerang and screw through both pieces to affix or do these go on first?? Thanks there were no instructions.

Seriously, a RULE? Why not just lock the thread after 45 days of no activity?
