Door remote

When I purchased my 03 coupe it came with one remote, Ebay has a ton of them for sale but they advertise remote 1 and 2 is there a diffrence and how do you program ?

Dave, I don't believe the car knows what number is on the fob. It depends on the order in which they're programmed. If you had two #1 fobs, the first one programmed would respond to #1 memory settings. The second one programmed would respond to #2 etc.

Programming instructions are in the owner's manual.

It is a matter of the program .what ever one you program 1 is 1. it will take 4 fobs but 1 and 2 will be the only set

Not so. It will take 3 fobs - 1, 2 and 3 (1and 2 together).

vettes will only take three FOBs into the programming mode . It does not matter what the imprint on the back of the FOB says , your car will learn 1,2,and 3 in the order you teach it .

As per Cenzo, look in the manual under the DIC section where it explains the "learn fob" procedure. Mine only accepts three remotes.

My 03 came with 2 key fobs on the back of them you have a 1 and on the other you have a 2 this is for the seat setting person 1 has one fob and person 2 has another fob.You have one missing if you bought the car from a dealer they should have given you 2 fobs not one.You can also set the fobs for a third person.All this should be in your manual.
