Default Garage Makeover (pics inside)

Winters in my neck of the woods are long and cold. Heating my garage has been a long standing goal and this year I finally did it. When I built my house in 1990 I only drywalled the walls with no insulation. My project started off with the installation of a 45,000 btu ceiling mounted natural gas heater. I then had the drywall torn down and then insulated the walls and ceiling. The garage is now drywalled and painted. My next steps are to stucco the bottom block section of the garage and then later in the summer install a BLT raised coin PVC rollout floor. Here are some pictures of the progress:

Here it is drywalled and primed:

Here it is painted and with the rough coat applied to the blocks:

Some samples of the stucco I can pick from (not very clear):

BLT link of flooring I am thinking of installing:

Hopefully this works (tmp hosting site).. The floor is pretty dirty since it was finished today and was raining out (as seen by my filthy/wet vette)... I really like the stuff though and it seems really easy to keep clean

Looking good!! I'm going through the same thought process with my garage in Colorado. It's built GREAT, but it's unfinished. I can't believe you didn't insulate it the first time you drywalled it.......in ONTARIO!!!!! Brrrrrrr!!!!

Wow, looks great. I like the shine it has and the fact that it has settled down pretty flat given that you just finished the job today! Now you got me thinking about the groved style.

Thank you for the pics, now get that vette clean again

It did bind a little, but is supposed to settle in 72 hours. For the most part, it has already settled.

Next sunny day = Zaino.

(now the wait for the lift begins...)

Looks good. For future reference for anyone that wants to insulate existing walls, you can have it blown in. I used to do this in my younger contracting years. If you have siding on the exterior, a few panels can be removed. 2" holes are drilled in the sheathing between the stud spaces and either fiberglass, rock wool or cellulose is blown in. Replace the siding....done. If going at it from the exterior walls is not feasible, then you can drill the drywall and then patch and paint.
