Is the black battery cover in some of your pics a factory Corvette item or is it aftermarket? There is nothing in mine and the battery sticks out like a sore thumb.Where can I get one?

Mine is stainless steel and scratches very easy. It is going to get chromed when I get my alternator done in the next couple of months. Here is a link the the West Coast Corvettes battery den cover.
I was bored one day and made my own.
About twelve bucks for the plastic from the car stereo shop.
I did not have a template to copy thats why I don't have the great cut outs around the hood bumper.
This is mine - Just filled the holes and had it painted to match.
Bought the black plastic one you see in the treads above ($59.00). Had a friend of mine fill the holes with a special epoxy. He sanded it down and painted it to match my engine compartment. Of course, he did all of the work for free, so I had to let him put his logo on it, but it was worth it!
Even if it is not an exact match, I am sure it would be a simple matter of painting it to match.....Gotta look better than an old grey battery in there....
