Default HELP...Car stalled..."REDUCED ENGINE ???" Codes...

Car stalled on me and the DIC said something like Reduced Engine ???

The codes I got were the following:

28 TCS - C1278H
60 IPC - B0521H and U1160H
A6 SCM - No Comm.

Any ideas?....

What happend when it stalled? Did you hit a bump or anything? Sounds like an electrical issue, like a senor plug came lose. I would clear the codes, un hook the battery for about 15 minutes, re connect, and check the codes again. If you still have any, post them here.

well your pcm fault is because the tac controller stopped talking to the pcm. your tcs is because the pcm stopped talking to the tac module.the 521 is the tach signal to the cluster and 1160 is loss of communication to the left door control module.
first, have you suffered from the "leaking battery" syndrome,if so,i suggest you look pull the r/f inner fender peice and look at that harness first to see if the acid ate it up.the serial data connectors are all above the bcm.other possibilities-loose/bad battery connections, poor ground, etc.
did the car start right back up?

I actually had a dealership fix a battery connection just a couple of months ago. The battery was replaced prior to my purchase. Is the leaking battery syndrome associated with the original battery?

TTT.

I 1st noticed some potential electrical problems a couple of months ago when my headlights would briefly dim when I applied the brakes or turn signals. I can even hear when the fuel pump hesitates it correlates with a brief headlight dimming. Thats when I brought it to a delaership and they fix a battery cable.

Sounds like what happened to me yesterday!

The problem began last week, with a persistant check engine light, and a slight rough idle at times. Then on Tuesday morning the idle got much worse and it began sputtering at all speeds, plus the check engine light was actually flashing!

I drove it to my favorite performance shop and they found a whole whack of codes. So after doing some troubleshooting, they ended up getting me a new PCM. They uploaded my LS1 edit tuning and the car ran great. But then on Thursday morning I pulled up to a light and the car just stalled, and the REDUCED ENGINE POWER, SERVICE TCS, SERVICE ABS codes kept flashing. I had it towed to the shop and they pulled the PCM, sent it back to a GM dealer to get it reflashed and checked out. It checked out fine, but the car still won't start. So now they suspect it's the wiring harness. It looks like the previous owner's battery must've leaked onto that area at some point in time, causing all of this nonsense.

Car has been running fine lately. Bringing it to a dealership on Friday and I'll have them look at these items everyone has mentioned.

Also wanted to thank Craig (cajung) who I bought the car off of for calling. He must have felt bad after he read the thread and called me to see if he could help out - classy guy!

I'll report back after the service check.
