I think they are new on the market since I've never seen them anywhere before. I'm rebuilding my house and was thinking of adding them to my new game room / Corvette shrine! I'm curious how comfortable they might actually be and how dangerous the billet might be to people as they lean back.

Actually I have seen them in person. MidAmerica has them and I saw it when I was visiting their showroom in Effingham. They do look nice; unfortunately I did not sit in it to see how comfortable the backrest was (although it didn't look comfortable, but appearances can be deceiving I suppose). Sorry I can't be of more help, but if I have the opportunity again (I'll be in the area frequently for the immediate future) I'll make a point of checking it out more closely.
