My 04Z has wheelhop issues at the track. I've never had wheelhop in first gear, only on the first to second shift. One run it hopped so bad I thought the wheels were coming through the fenderwells (cold track, poor prep?). I've managed to eliminate most of it by running about 22-24 psi in the rear tires and warming them up really good. Also, I am not powershifting. This is on the stock Goodyear supercar tires. I don't run when the temperatures are low; good power but poor traction. It's funny, but I never have wheelhop on the street. I guess because there's less traction. I wish I knew how to eliminate it completely at the track, but I don't. If someone has a solution, I'd sure like to know what it is. I've heard that drag radials may help the situation, but I only run my car a few times per season so I don't plan to go that route. Do a search on wheelhop, lot's of information on the subject.
