headers install coming up
I'm going to install my shorty headers within the next few weeks and was looking for any help, tips, suggestions, etc. for installing them. Anything to look out for to make the job go smoother. If anyone has instructions or pictures I would appreciate that.

I did long tubes a while ago and some of the tips I gleamed from the Tech section where; remove spark plugs and wires first, if not you risk breaking them. Locate all wire harnesses at the bottom of the existing manifolds, these bundles carry wiring for O2Sensors, a ground and some other wiring. Just make sure you clear them with your new headers. You may or maynot have to remove coil packs. I did with my installation but after I was done I realized that that was a waste of time since my headers both went in from the bottom. I'm sure you known about the alternator coming off.

Save your money on the shorties. Go with long tubes, if you can. Assume you're looking for performance increases and shorties just don't get it.
