I have a light that says check cats I believe, on my 02 Z06. It says check, and then it has a figure of a cat, What does it mean? What should I do?
I'll be reading the FAQ when I have time today, and the owner's manual. I just wonder if anyone here has had this happened.
Thx-Goose

I am not sure on other years, but on my '04, I can read codes, as well as clear them off my dash. Turn on ignition but don't start engine. press reset to turn off messages. press and hold options button and press fuel four times with in 10 sec. On-board diagnostics go into auto mode. Each module will show if a code exist. Write it down, than look it up. You do not need a scan tool! Pretty cool actually.

This is the code I'm getting...
P1416 AIR System Bank 2
What's that about?
Anybody knows?
It looks like the passenger side air tubing that connects to the exhaust manifold flange. I would look at the code and see if there is a "C" or an "H". C=Current and H=History. It can have both too. I would reset the code and see if it reappears. I would also check the air system for apparent leaks, blockage etc.
Hehe! Tony
Don't give me any ideas, man.
I've been looking for my extended warranty card and info. I may have to take it to the dealer, and have them take a look.
A P1416 9 out of 10 times you have a faulty AIR check valve. However to get to it you have to remove the intake manifold. I hope you can find your warranty card.

Yeah, I found my warranty info card. I'll be taking it to the dealer. Thanks for the info.
