Recall Notices
Does any body know if the CLB recall was given to All Corvettes in 1999? I have a 1999 FRC, Sponge Vette did a vehicle history printout for me to determine my GMPP Warrenty validation. No CLB recall was listed. I thought all 1999 as well as other years were recalled for that.
Did a complaint have to be made first?

I got a recall notice....I signed a waiver at the stealership to close the campaign as I had the CLB

I bought a CLB,I'm going to install it when the weather clears up.
My question is when my Car history was checked there was no recall notices listed. Do all Corvettes receive the recall notices? I hear the motor so I don't think a CLB was ever installed. Is there any reason why a recall notice never appeared? Do some cars not need it (mine is a '99 FRC)?

I've got a '99 FRC and have received at least seven recall notices for the column lock. All the notices went straight to the trash. No way I'm letting them touch my car 
I've had a C5 Solutions bypass installed for years and I'm perfectly happy with it.
Barrier...you have a six-speed in your FRC soooo you need a CLB installed pronto...period.

if you take it to a dealership and you have custom programming, they WILL restore your factory programming - so take it to a tuner!

I am going to install itand I will do it myself, I just need a warm dry day I have no indoor work area.
I just wondered why there was no Recall Notice in the repair summary that Sponge Vette did for me. Other summaries that were done had recall notices.

I think the Column Lock stickies up at the top of the forum section give the specific models included inthe recall. I purchased a 99 6 speed in October from a private seller and that transfer of title must have prompted GM to send me a recall notice.
