I am in a major jam with a 1994 mint condition corvette convertable with only 38k miles. My computer has malfunctioned and the repair shop dealer has been working on this for about 4 weeks with no end in sight. He says the 94 vette was the first with this new computer and GM determined that the computer and/or software was not exactly correct so GM changed the computer and/or software some. Apparently GM does not now have the old computer or software in my model, does not have the code anymore, and can't tell me what to do. The dealer put in a new computer, but that new computer does not work with the old CPU, and no way to program the old computer or get an old CPU. Bottom line, I have this beauty of a vette that will not run and is worthless because they can't fix it. They are telling me to come and get it on a flat bed truck and part it out for junk. This is an untenable situation. I HOPE TO GOD THAT SOMEONE OUT THERE HAS HADE THIS NIGHTMARE SITUATION AND CAN GIVE ME NOT JUST GENERAL GUIDANCE ON WHAT TO DO BUT VERY SPECIFIC STEPS AND WHO TO TALK TO ABOUT EXACTLY WHAT TO DO TO FIX MY CAR SO IT WILL RUN AGAIN. IF I CAN PROVIDE ANYONE ANY MORE DETAILS ON WHAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD TO GET A DEFINITE ANSWER, PLEASE ASK. IT SEEMS THAT THIS IS A FREAK THING, THAT THIS HAPPENS TO ONE IN A MILLION BUT I GOT IT AND ITS APPARENTLY LIMITED TO JUST THE 94 VETTE DUE TO THE NEW COMPUTER INSTALLED IN IT. PLEASE HELP FRUSTRATED SEEDROOSTER.
