Since its not locked yet .. I'll post a T-bird story.
Back in the 70's I met a man who took care of the Presidential Limo's. It was during the Eisenhower Admin that he purchased the SECOND T-bird produced. Turns out that Ford gave the Eisenhower's the car as a gift for their wedding anniversary (according to him). Mamie didn't like the car because she said it was "too small". After a couple of years the Eisenhowers wanted to sell the car. This gentleman bought it. I asked him how long he kept it and he said "about 3 years". Then he sold it
I said to him "imagine its value as a collectable!"..
Today at Barret Jackson.. wow.. that would fetch some $$ I would think..
