Default Jet hot headers

Anyone tried the Jet Hot headers? There only $699 with ceramic coating inside and out. And now for the stupid question. Why does everyone say make sure the headers are coated to reduce the extreme heat? The stock manifolds are not heat coated? Do the headers run hotter and why?

I saw a set being installed on a 2004 GTO and wasn't impressed with them at all.

if you dont coat them they will rust out plus burn up everything within 5" as far as wiring goes.

i had a set of jet hots on my f-body and at 1st they look nice, but if you drive them in any kind of weather, because the headers hang down so low, anything and everything hits them and starts to ship the coating away and then they start to rust.

save your money and get stainless the 1st time around and be done with it.

At Jet Hot coatings!!!
Why pay for those others?
I bought mine used, on the forum for around 300
They looked a little nasty, just didn't feel right about putting it on my purty car
So, for about 165,465 total or so,they now look like this(don't forget to mention the forum discount!)

Default Jet hot headers

I have had the inside and out side coated Jet-hot headers on my 04a4 for about 8 months now. I have used headers of various types since 1953 on all types of cars. I think they are as good as any of the sets that sell for twice as much. I paid $622 for mine including shipping. Disregard all the "you get what you pay for" stuff, as that is not always true. There are good deals out there if you take the time to look, and I think this is one of them. They fit well, don't hang down, the 02 sensors reach without having to add adaptors and they do keep the heat in the engine compartment down.

Stock manifold are thick wall cast iron and has more area to asorb the heat. Headers are thin wall, plus Stainless holds heat. Run your car at night and open the hood and you will probably see your headers glowing near the head. But not on a cast iron manifold.
Take something like a 3 inch by 3 inch plate that is 3/8" thick, and the same size plate in 1/8 thick. Put a torch on each plate, and see which one turns cherry red first.

Jet hot headers are made just like TPIS headers but a lot cheaper made. I was told by Jet hot that they have stop making them. They are only selling what they have in stock this came from one of there sells people. I was also told that they have had lot of fitting problems. Go ahead and more for some LG LT or some DynoMaxx you get what you pay for. Jet Hot headers are not made by Jet Hot but by some shop in ther town and then caoted by them and sold as there headers.

I had my LG Pro long tubes coated inside and out just to help reduce the under hood temp!
