Default Easier Fog Light/Bulb Replacement

Over the weekend, I R 'n' R'd one of my headlight motors and noticed something that no fog light/bulb replacement instructions I have seen ever suggested.

While some people suggest raising the headlights, removing the black headlight bezels then reaching in and contorting your arms to get at the fog lights, and others offer suggestions of going through the brake duct area, there's a much better way.

1) Raise the headlights.
2) Remove the headlight bezels.
3) Remove the headlight covers/doors.
4) Lower the headlights.

VOILA! Believe it or not, with the headlights down there's SO much room to work! You can stick both arms down there if you like with plenty of room to spare. I could hardly believe it! While it doesn't sound like there'd be that much more room to work, I felt like I could climb in there! Seriously, though, you can easily get your leg in there, if you wanted to.

I don't know how many times while changing a turn signal bulb, fog light bulbs, working on the headlights, etc. I contorted myself to try and reach stuff, not to mention trying to pick up a nut, bolt or tool I dropped in there, but now that I know how much room this method provides, I'm never going to forget it.

Just thought you all would appreciate knowing this.

I know how to use the search, but I'm not superman. If I search and get 30 threads with 20 posts each, I might miss one post out of those 600 posts that mentioned it.

But, since there was a rash of posts about fogs here lately, I thought maybe SOME other members might appreciate the post.

Sorry, but that's the way your post came off. I apologize if I mis-interpreted the tone. As you know, I even thanked you for a tip on another thread recently.

All's good, in my book.

I'll have to remember that. Instead of wasting words, I should just post "See my avatar" when someone flames me, huh? Thanks for the tip!

I am glad you posted this. I have two that are now working. I am going to try to replace the bulbs in a few days and this should save me some time and sanity.
