need help with gear choice
wondering what the max ratio that i could run with a 26 11.50 et street tire so the car will stay in third gear in the 1/4 mile and not shift to overdive or does any one know the mph/gear ratio for a 26'' tall tire example. 26'' tire 3.73 gear will run what? mph in 1/4 or 26'' tire with 3.42 gear will run what mph? my car has sts tt with upgraded turbos 65lb inj 255pump 3000 stahl dynoed 485/475 at wheels 7.5psi the rest of the car is bone stock 1998 c5 a4 273 dif. thinking of heads cam ls6 intake meth inj. headers and no cats hoping for 625hp-650hp @wheels. with 9psi. car dynoed 301 stock very happy with kit.any help??
