NAPA Low Profile Jack - Finally Bit
A few years ago I lowered my car about an inch in the rear and 3/4 inch in the front. The normal Harbor freight low Profile Aluminum jack was fine but I had soon installed frame rails and this made it a very tight squeeze. When I take my car to roadcourse events, I throw on the 17" CCW's with The Race tires the night before and at that point, I need boards.
So I have had my eye on 2 very low profile jacks for quite awhile. It wa also importnat that they were long enoug to get the front cross member which my Harbor freight jack cannot do.
One of the jacks I was interetsed in was pricey - over $400. That jack had 3" minimum lifting height and the length was ideal for Front cross member access.
The other jack (This NAPA Jack) had an even lower min height (2 5/8") but wasnt quite as long yet, its still longer than any other Jack I have seen and can access front the cross member with no problem.
Both jacks are very heavy and are really designed for garage use (I'll take the lighter Harbor freight jack to the track with me and use boards if I need to lift the car.)
Now for the even better part. When I first saw this NAPA jack a few months ago at the store, it was $229. But I saw it the other day in a store for just $169 and I just had to bite!
I soon discovered that because its much more of a heavy duty jack than my harbor freight, its so much easier to lift the car.
Anyway, Here is the link to the NAPA jack so you guys can check out its dimensions. Check out the min height of only 2 5/8" for all you guys who have very low cars .
Below the link are pictures of the jack as it is under my frame rails. Notice how much more room I have with the jack under the frame rail. Considering my car is lowered an inch and I have frame rails which add about 1/4" to that, that is one low profile jack!

Thanks for the post.
Bob

Not all stores have them. Get the Item number and then call one of the stores. Dont order on line - as you can see its much more expensive.

The problem with any jack is going to be the front rubber spoiler clearance, I think perhaps even on non-lowered cars, which means you will need to get some elevation with boards anyway. But once you get under that center piece, the length of the NAPA jack should gain access to it.

I was going to buy the AFF jack but they are all backordered...this will be a good alternative since it appears to be the same jack. Though the AFF version uses a different jack pad...that may explain why their's is listed as 2 3/4 pick-up height. Perhaps the same chinese company makes the one model and re-brands it per each company's request.
Either way looks like I'm off to Napa
