Default Blackwing Cleaning

Does anyone know if exit28 motorsports is still around? When I bought my BW from them back in 02 they told me the best way to clean and re-oil the filter but I did not write it down :o So what is the approved way to clean and re-oil? Thanks!

You can reoil it with a mixture of mineral oil and alcohol in a spray bottle.

You would probably be OK with the K&N cleaning/recharge kit but I wouldn't do it. The Blackwing has synthetic media and the K&N is cotton. The correct cleaning/recharge kit is not that expensive.

I've seen it on here many times that you do NOT want to use the K & N kit on a Blackwing.

I appologize for Hi-Jacking the thread, but it looks like I will spend a few extra "Washingtons" and wait out the shipping time to do the job correctly.

Thanks for the Tips. I love this forum. It's better than anything that you can pay for. The only thing better than free advice is GREAT advice from those that share the same interests.

Thank you to everyone.
