I added some headers, an MTI ram air kit, and a Shaner S2 with no tune. So I wanted to see what they were worth at the track before I get the car tuned on Thursday. My previous best bone stock was a 12.08@115.95 with a best mph of 116.31. Today I ran a 11.85@117.40 with a best mph of 118.45. I also cut a 1.78 60ft on stock F1 tires. There was a 20mph head wind today and I had a full tank of gas. Last time I had a quarter tank and no head wind. All other conditions were almost identicle. My average over five runs was 11.98@117.67. So I guess I am happy. I was hoping for 11.70's@120 or so. I think that will be possible with a tune. The track also wasn't holding the 1-2 and 2-3 shift with out spinning pretty bad.
I've got intake headers exhaust and going to try to get to atlanta dragway for my 1st time next weekend...I would love to see 11's but that may be wishful thinking for my first time

Thanks guy. I am going to go see Jeff Creach at C.A.M. He has done my last two cars. I am hoping to gain about 20rwhp. My clutch was also starting to go. I could really feel it off the line and in 4th. The Textrilla will be in the mail tomorrow.
Thanks. I just can't believe I cut a 1.78 60ft on the F1's. But looking at you bone stock times I am a little disapointed in my car. We have the same year cars and I drive mine like it owes me. I have mods and you don't but we ran almost the same time. I am adding tires next week with the clutch. We will see what happens when I can actually hammer it off the line. I can't wait to see what you do with the 06. With you driving I expect very low elevens at 127-8. Good luck.

Nice times Brett. Great 60' for F1's!! The head wind cost you some as well... You'll need a clutch if you're getting DR's or ET Streets for sure, if your clutch is slipping already!
The tune will help for sure.

Here is some thing I thought was kind of interesting. I took the averages from the three time I have been to the track. I then took the best ET and MPH from those times and compared all of them to see if I was improving and if the car was improving. The results kind of surprised me.
The first time I went to the track my average was 12.50 @ 115.28 with a best of 12.16 @ 116.31.
Nine months later was the second time to the track and the average was 12.28 @ 116.64 with a best of 12.08 @ 116.07.
Two weeks later was the third time to the track and the average was 11.98 @ 117.67 with a best of 11.85 @ 118.45.
The first two times were bone stock the last time was with LT's, CAI, TB. The first time I made six passes. The second time I made twelve passes. The last time I made five passes.
So my driving improved on the second time but the car MPH slowed down. The third time I picked up 2 mph and .2 tenths average and 2.5 mph and .25 tenths peak to peak for my mods. Just some observations.
As for your record keeping...you are following a very good practice if you're logging your runs in a spread sheet.
I'd suggest calculating and adding all of the incremental times too, eg
60-330
60-660
60-1000
60-1320
330-660
330-1000
330-1320
660-1000
660-1320
1000-1320
Density altitude, etc
I've learned the most about my driving by sorting my spreadsheet (with calculated incrementals) and looking for consistencies and inconsistencies. This helps identify where I am wasting time.

Less tire spin on the launch (better 60') and shifts will usually yield slightly lower MPH with BETTER ET's....
You modded runs are better from increased HP...

One of my favorite quotes is:
"The world is full of data, much of it yearning to be analyzed".
And, might I add my own two cents,
"and actually applied to the the problem at hand".
Dr. Ron. The difference in average and peak was what I am useing to gage the improvements of my mods. I was really hoping to gain more. But with a tune I think I will be there. I think some times people lie to them selves with mods. They will take their worst run from one set and compare it to the best of the modded set just to make them selves feel better about a particular product. Or vice verca. I understand the mph being down some with a better 60ft. Especially because I have to bog the car to get it to not spin for a better 60ft on stock tires. I think with some DR's I will be able to spin the motor higher, drop my 60ft and gain mph on the top end. I was loosing alot of ET on the 1-2 adn 2-3 shift as well. Just over powering the track. But again I think the DR's will compensate for that. Thanks for the imput. I respect your guyses opinions.
