Top 10 Inexpensive Mods?
Just look at some of the pictures in the members signatures in this thread and others. The moulding that runs horizontal from just aft of the side gills to just forward of the aft edge of the door. If you have them and don't like them you can pull them off for next to nothing. I got 'em and like 'em.

Those BSM's are so ugly.
Tear them off right now and send them to me immediately.

I could not find any posts here (I know there are some though....) but here is a link -

Essentially you remove the airbox cover, and use zip-ties to secure the filter element into what is left of the airbox.
Add a DIY hood seal using the weatherstripping from Autozone (search the forum....there was a recent post with the part number.....) to keep water from draining off of the hood into the airbox.

I have one that is so simple and cheap that most people will never think twice about it. They will go out and spend $1K on a cat back system only to make more noise. Now I have nothing against the Forum vendors that sell them (cat back systems) or the members that gota have them.
If you can weld or know someone who can you can get the same results for under $100 bucks.
Take the stock, rear exhaust system, After it goes over rear end and before it goes into muffler, Cut and weld a 6''-8'' piece of strait pipe to the inside outlet pipe after it exits from the muffler.(See attached photo-it is from an aftermarket system , but was the only picture I had. Note where the blue lines are. That is where to cut in the new pipe.)
Now this can be done by a good welder in an hour. You can make a deal with an exhaust shop if you can't do it your self. You can remove the rears yourself and reinstall to save some more.
When at idle it sounds mostly stock as the exhaust gas lazies it way through the mufflers. When you get on it - well it prety much goes strait through and out the inboard pipes. It is also not as loud at highway speed on cruise.(as after market systems. Which are loud all the time.)
I love cheap fixs.

Bluetooth Wireless Cell Phone Headset Cheap - Works in Any Car
Cell Phone Headsets with No Strings Attached -- Bring New Level of Freedom to Cell Phones. Headset solutions for cell phones literally cut the cords that bind headsets to cell phones. This works with new cell phones and smartphones that support the headset profile.
I don't know if you've heard, but starting July 1, 2005, you will no longer be able to use a cell phone while driving unless you have a "hands free" adapter. I went to Circuit City and they wanted $50 for a headset with a boom microphone for my cell phone. Having a friend in the cell phone business, I talked with him and was able to come up with an alternative, working through Office Depot. These kits are compatible with any mobile phone and one size fits all. I paid $0.08 each because he bought in quantity. I tried them out on Erickson, Motorola, Nokia and Verizon phones and they worked perfectly. Take a look at the photo and let me know if you want one, and forward this to anyone you know who may want one!

In your opinion, what are the top 5-10 "somewhat inexpensive" mods that you would suggest? Please add: What will it do? And about how much $? If possible - pics and/or links?
David
Interior: Lloyds mats with logo. IMHO, much higher quality mats than the OEMs. I forget how much I paid for mine.
Inexpensive exterior appearance mods:
Rear plate between the tailpipes.
Vinyl inserts for the "Corvette" in the rear facia and front license plate cover.
From MidAmerica: windshield sun shade (50$) and the perforated vinyl shade for the clear roof ($25). Makes a Big difference in interior temperature during the summer.

Lots of great suggestions in the post above.
Depending on what you want and what amount of money you consider to be inexpensive leaves some open room for discussion.
A few I have done that I like -
Sequential tail light mod.
I got mine used, but new is about $100 from here: http://www.webelectricproducts.com/
Here is a link to my video of the sequential flashers: HERE
Center Console Cushion (Modified version) from Mid America for about $100: http://www.madvet.com/shop?frame=2.50.509
This was probably the best money I spent as I use it every time I get in the car. Makes it so much nicer to rest your elbow.
Also, the Vette Essentials shift boot and ****. I hope to do the brake boot and handle soon. http://www.vetteessentials.com/inter...ucts/shift.htm
Here is a picture of mine:

Paint or Powder Coat your calipers. Forum member Corvette Pilot is a supporting vendor and does great work. I painted mine prior to knowing about his business. Not sure on the cost of powder coating. I painted mine for about $30.00 or less using three different colors of "VHT" spray paint from Autozone.
Before - Cross drilled and slotted rotors are fairly new.

Pic of Front Here
Replace your head light bubls with Silver Star bulbs. About $70 for both sets of high and low beams. It makes a difference.
Replace the fog lights with PIAA driving lights. Under $200.00. Makes a HUGE difference.
Paint your hood liner. Depending on how you do it, I'm guessing $10 to $30.
Hood Liner Pic Here
New Exhaust Sytem. Make some noise
Price depending on condition if used.
My Borla Quad Tips
Tint your windows. Standard benifits. Under $200.
Add some neon to the gills. After all, a little rice is nice.
About $50.00

That's about all I can think of right now.
Have fun with what ever you plan to do.
Gary
