Removing Z06 screens...

Removing Z06 screens...
I put my Z06 screens on my C5 Coupe earlier this month via double-sided tape supplied with the screens, now i've decided to paint them black, my question is:
Will pulling off the screens damage the paint underneath the tape? Will I have alot of cleaning up to do? Will I need to remove these the same way people remove BSM?

Here's a TTT for ya,,, I was thinking of doing this too..need to adjust mine a bit... got them before I got on this forum,,othewise would have used the Velcro instead of tape

Use a hairdryer to heat and some fishing line to get under the 2 sided tape.
If you hurt the paint, the easy way out is to just put the real things on the car after you get these fakes off.....
