I agree! This is my first big V8 (came from 400hp+ turbo cars) and I'm keeping it stock for a while. I have NO desire for more power, it's plenty. Going to do appearance and interior mods first. And a C6 shifter!

Default Welcome New Guy!

This is a GREAT site and the Forum is excellent. A slight few A**S H****S on here but you'll identify them after a while. They think someone died and made them kings. Very rude and smart A**Y when they post something. Fortunately they are too ignorant to post often. And when they do they get the subject wrong so their posts look even worse.

Default Thank you!

Thanks From the Newbie!

Your suggestions and advice are greatly appreciated.

I have had my nose is various magazines and I've poured over tons of webs sites reading every tech article I can find about what mods are better...which ones should be done in what order...exhaust and intake comparos...you get the picture.

The desire to add mods is certainly there but I need to be very comfortable with the car as is before I make any changes.

I'll keep reading the various posts to this forum. What a great site.

Thanks again.

-Jay

CLB = Column lock bypass, a device to disable your column lock...it will fail and leve you stranded

Zip-Tie-Mod = Removeing the front half of your intake box and installing a good filter like a K&N and using 2 big zip ties to hold in the filter

Throttle body bypass = re-routing the hot water sent to the TB to keep it cooler, its not usefull at all in warm climates

I have ordered the K&N Air Filter, and the Throttle Body By-Pass.

I have already installed the shorty antenna...it feels faster now because of the lower drag of the shorter antenna...*wink*.

I'm going to do the Zip-Tie-Mod as soon as I receive the new air filter. I need to look into the CLB...which I have not done.

I'm having fun.

Thanks again folks.

Hi Jay -

good to see you're having fun !

You know, you won't notice a big increase from the antenna mod on a dyno, you have to be in the rush of air to get the full effect....

best regards -

I'd post a picture but I havn't figured that out yet.

Thanks!
Im in the same boat.I want more power but I cant bring myself to mess up the car yet.The LS6 is such a jewel of an engine.I think the first thing to do would be get an X-pipe and maybe an intake.Marginal but effective mods that wont affect drivability.

haha...The shorty antenna rocks!

I received the new air filter, etc...so now the fun begins.

If I could figure out how to post a picture, I would.

A little help!

Thanks.
