I like the looks of the fog light grills for the C5. I have a 97. Who makes the best? Do they stay in once you put them in or has anybody had problems with them coming out?

Hi,
I have the screens and once in properly they don't fall out but can be removed.
I would suggest if you haven't cut out the back of the fog light housing for more out side air to come in for better performance, then install the grills or screens. My $.02

I have the GM front screens on mine. I've found the best way to install them is with velcro. Makes it easy to remove for cleaning the fog lights and they have never had a problem staying on the car.
Got mine from the vetteshop. They use the same material as GM original. Also, I got the 3 pc set which includes brake duct, side cowl, and rear for 37.99. These alone are about 150 thru another vendor. I've had them about a year and they still look as good as new. Here is the link. http://vetteshop.cc/

The foglight screens I took apart the plastic housing that hold the mesh in place and replaced the mesh with perforated stainless steel. I then reattached the plastic housing togather using epoxy and silicon.
The side screen are held in with plastic blocks and have a slight bend to them to match the curvature of the opening.
The foglight screens take a few hours to make and the side screen take a bout 30 minutes to make, if you have the right power tools.
I have access to the right to such as a bandsaw and bench grinder whenI visit my parent. Then you need one other person to help with the epoxy step reattaching the plastic housing.
