C6 Z06 Fun..Fun..Fun.!!
Not for nothing but I have behaved myself during the recommended break in procedure per the owners manual and have now experienced the full thrill of power of this 2006 Z06 of mine. All I can say is WOW!
Over the weekend I passed 500 miles and have started to really have fun with this car. I pushed the button that turns off the traction control and had my way with this car speed shifting and taking the rpms to redline.....I mean the 1-2 shift with the throttle nailed to the floor produced insane tire spin and a remarkable show of power. 20 - 30 foot tire patches and I'm sideways and I'm only at 4000-5000 rpms! Jeeeeee...sus! The 6500-7000 redline is now my best friend..That's alot of fun!
FWIW..After selling my 10 second C5 A4 383 Stroker I really didn't feel that this car could measure up without the usual mods ...but it does!
Being a modaholic by nature ( founder of C5 MODAHOLICS ANONYMOUS..ask anyone
) I now believe that a good LS7 Edit DynoJet tune, some LT Headers and some traction will be the only issues here to get this factory monster deep into the 10's at the track. I can't even imagine what the tuners will do with this car once they get a wild cam and some tuning in this car..it will be just insane!Just a real pleasant surprise for me.
BTW..I happen to pull to a light on a quiet and less traveled street with a new Lambo G to my right...Oh what fun it was to blow him away with the 1-2 punch of the Z06..Just a blast.
Chevrolet
did it right this time! For all of you have have been fortunate to get a hold of this Z06..Enjoy!
Can you tell I'm excited?....It's like being a kid again

Vince,Awesome write-up and now you've confirmed all of my fears.
This is a car I want so bad I can taste it but just can't pull off the finances
Alas, someday.
I'm glad you've made the right choice and even more glad that you came back here to share it with us. I look forward to more write-ups and details as you begin to ahhemm, "personalize" the new Z.
Enjoy the ride.Paul

I'll have to wait a while yet though.
Good Luck and to answer your last question.......... YES, I CAN tell you are excited.
