How many of you guys up North have taken your " Toy " out of hibernation due to the unseasonable weather ? All that rain cleared the roads of salt and sand up here just enough to sneak the " Z " out this Saturday. First time driven in three winters ! Still smiling man !

Not a chance up here. You can't tell that the road is paved. There is honestly 1/2 inch of a dirt/sand/salt mix on our roads. I had to settle for top down in the Sebring this weekend. Power? 0-60 in 3 minutes.
Can't drive mine till March. I have limited use insurance on it so it's only about $500 a year to insure. For the savings, I just suffer a little on sunny winter days. From December to March, life's rough.
I took the insurance off for the winter so even though we've had a few nice days I haven't been able to drive it. I did take it out of the garage a few times and for a quick spin on my street after I bleed the brakes. Waiting for spring before I put collision back on it.
I pulled the cover off yesterday and took her out for a lap . Snow comming in today and it takes forever for the salt , rocks ,sand ,and whatever else they can think of to dump on the roads to go away .SRS
I just picked up my new 2003 coupe yesterday and was happy the roads were so clean so I could actally drive it for a while before I have to watch it sit in the garage for a couple months. I ride sport bikes too and I have been riding on and off all winter.
I'm still in my first winter with mine. I was thinking about putting it away for Jan and Feb...but the weather has been ok..at least to use it once or twice a week.
It IS just a car..
We got ours out for a one day cruise in mid-January, last night was clear so we drove the Corvette to our club meeting, and tomorrow we have a club cruise planned going to the coast. Weather forecast calls for sunshine and near 60 tomorrow at the beach. Gotta enjoy it while it lasts - March & April are generally very wet months here.
p.s. - Just to be safe, I am replacing the 4 year old Die Hard today, thinking about going Optima Red top.
No chance here yet in Southern Minnesota. Much milder winter (through January), but roads were full of salt residue. Looks like real winter has set back in for February. Probably 6-8 weeks left yet, unfortunately.
I always wonder what guys that block there cars do when the garage catches in fire? I know I'm going to get some 'heat' for this question.....
B Nice now. That actually happened to a member of this forum 2 or 3 years ago in Manchester NH. The wifes Bimmer ot Audi or somthing had a short and commited autocide by fire. one of the saddest sights in the world is a melted vette
