Thanks for this sight Scott I'm going there right now.
No problem. I Hope it helps. Also, you might list your location because I bet some local forum members would help you inspect the Vette you're looking at.
captcruz - hang in there buddy, you'll find the right vette..there are tons of very nice C5's out there...you can also check here on the forum if you have not done so under C5 Corvettes for sale.
that price sounds wayy to high..the parts probably cost next to nothing to a dealer...so don't buy that line.
Sounds high. I don't know where you are located, but prices are a bit higher in California. Still, in October we bought a '99 coupe with 40K miles for $23,000 from a private party. If you really want the car, see how far you can talk the dealer down.
I found a 98 convertible, silver, black top, nearly fully loaded, soft ride. Brand new windshield, brand new tires, brand new front skids, and the convertible top looks brand new.
Downside is it has 79,500 miles and Dealer wants $23,000. I have the money but doesn't that sound like alot for so many miles? It appears well maintained and drove well.
This is going to be my first vette so I'm skeptical if I should pay this much for so many miles.
Anyone out there with some advice?

Best thing to do is look at AutoTrader.com and check the paper for your area and see how other prices compare. Based off NADA and KBB their asking price is not out of line. I'm sure they will deal with you on the car if you take your time. Just make sure the car is in the shape you think it is. You might want to take someone from a local Corvette club to look it over with you that owns a C5.
Plus a lot depends on the condition of the car. NO one on a website can tell you that without going and looking at it first hand.
Best of luck with finding the car of your dreams

Thanks for the advice. All you guys have more experience than I do in this area.
