when i first installed them i noticed that. i always cruise with the windows down cause i love to hear them. when i do drive with the windows up i do notice the cabin gets kinda loud but it seems worth it. im building my partition now but dont know if it will cut down on the noise.

Really loud with the LG headers, but everyone else loves them!! I think it is the best sounding exhaust on a C5 not raspy and not boat like. A good muscle sound!

The partion will help with some of the road noise you hear but your still going to hear those "Bullets"!! Does little to reduce the exhaust noise.

I have a partition and tray along with the Bullets. If I'm riding alone I leave the partition out...BECAUSE I LOVE TO HEAR THEM BABIES RIP..., but with a passenger I have it in (unless I don't want to talk to them ) and it cuts the interior noise down to about stock levels.

Stock levels... which partition do you have?

I made my own partition from some 2"thick insulation board from Lowes. Supper light and made an amazing difference. Sounds stock when it is in. Without, can't hear myself think.

I don't know anything about building products but would like to get some of this, what exactly should I ask for at Lowes? Thanks in advance.

How did you get it to stay in place? At high speeds with the windows open anything in the rear compartment blow to the front.

BTW: PLEASE WRITE LOUDLY, I CAN'T HEAR TO GOOD.

My partition and tray are from Southerncarparts. The sound may not be exactly like stock but you can carry a conversation....take it out and hope like hell that you like to look at whoever is sitting next to you, because you won't be talking to them

I am at work but when I get home I will post the name. It was the only insulation board that was blue. They sell in various thicknesses.

I made mine extremely tight. I cut to size and then added carpet, this made it really snug and I have absolutely no issues with it moving. I'm actually more worried about getting it out.

One note: mine is 2" thick without carpet. I think this also really helps keep it in place. I haven't seen any aftermarket ones to see how they work/fit. The other major benefit is it is extremely light, but pretty rigid(thickness), It can't weigh more than 2-3 lbs.

You don't have to do that. The information you gave me is all I need. I just hate going in there all the time looking for something that I am trying to fab up for my car and they always ask "what is this for". When you answer it's for my car - they give you that "look" like you're some kind of freak. Well if you're talking car freak, I guess I am...

Thanks dude!

Yes, I went through the same thing years ago with a different car. Some of the exhausts sound great on the track, but they can be impossible to live with in a street car. This time around, since I do only 5 or 6 track events a year, I decided on headers and high-flow cats, but kept the OE cat-back section; perfect for my taste.
