If a preditor is out to locate a Corvette to steal, isn't it easier to search in a parking lot? What's he going to do with information found here? Get on earth.google and find the location of my Corvette in my garage?
I just don't feel threatened by that possibility.
If I was that concerned, I'd never wash my car in the driveway. I'd enter and leave my house in the dark with the lights off. And I'd do circles in the neighborhood to be sure I'm not being followed.
On top of all that, my insurance company insures that I would be compensated for such a loss.

Don't get me wrong, I am not paranoid either. Actually, I would be upset if my car got stolen, but that would also mean that I was going to be getting another C5 so that is not all that bad. I have a State Trooper friend who would gladly run a tag if I gave it to him which would give me the all important home address. I would venture to say that a good thief would easily have that connection. Then you add what was posted here previously about the people who say "I am going to xyz car show next week and btw, I am leaving my vette at home" duh.

How many people actually drive by your car in a parking lot or in your driveway if the car is there for an hour- maybe 20.

I hear you when you say it couldn't happen to you, and I truly hope it never does, but I guess from living in NJ- I don't trust anyone.
