Ken,

Tks for the infomation!

Still, it seems like a lot of work, as I hate to have anyone else touch the car...why wouldn't I just install a CLB?

Peace

And if you have already installed a CLB, and blown off all the other recalls, why would you want the dealer to do this recall?

Under the section..."1997-2000 Corvettes Equipped With Automatic Transmission (Excludes Export Vehicles), and all U.S. Manual Transmission"
.
.
.
27. Using J 23653-SIR (2), remove the retaining ring and the lock plate (1) and discard both.

Actually I wouldn't call it a real fix, they are just disabling the feature completely instead of making it work properly. I have the CLB so I don't care one way or the other, no dealer is touching my car.

You can get the new recall, as a matter of fact you are better off. Just insist that they do not reflash the computer to cut fuel as they did in the first recall.

Ken, for 2004, the list shows from vin # 1 - 20862. My vin is after that (31xxx). Curious as to why all '04s are not listed ?
Mine is a Z06.
Thanks...
