Go to www.madvet.com. Scoll down left side of page to Interactive Media and then look for the Exhaust Pic. Good audio of several different systems. I have the Borlas and like them.

lets see u are way over there in hawaii, i have SLP's in texas. go outside in about 5 minutes and ill rev my motor. u should be able to hear it. haha just kidding. SLP's are very loud and introduce alot of interior resonance. alot of people like em. alot of people think they are waaay too loud. borlas have a lower tone in my opinion and sound good but restrained where the SLPs just blare it all out. next exhaust i buy wont be SLP, not because i dont like the sound and the way the car sounds passing u by, but the interior noise is very prominent and causes small stuff to start rattling and resonating also. just my opinion/

Mitch,

I just left Hawaii and I think that with the safety inspection out there (if they have it on the Big Island ) the BORLA would be the way to go to make it a bit easier to get your car to pass inspections. The SLPs will require you to find some that is "shady" to pass you. If this isn't a problem, and want the rumble from the jungle go with the SLPs, the entire island will here you!

this pretty much sums it up..I have had both, I now have SLP Loudmouths with Longtube headers the SLP's where damn loud with the stock manifolds, but when I added headers Sweet LOUD they rasp and pop/gurgle quite a bit.

Yes Big island is deffinately more laid back then the other islands and being 17 i need something loud for my FRC and i will not drive it everyday so i dont think i will get tired of the sound.

I won the loudest exhaust contest with my slp's. The interior resonance does suck after awhile, but theirs nothing else like the loudmouths, you can literally hear them a mile away

I have a stock 2000 coupe. I put '04 exhaust on it shortly after buying the car. I recently put Borla Stingers on.

Here is a vid I took. I probably should have done a better job at getting the camera in the same general location.

As always, try to listen to them in person.

I have some resonance issues that I am personally not happy with. I guess I'm too old. I imagine the SLP's would be worse - don't know.

Have fun and best of luck.

I Have Borla Quad Rounds And Love Them Very Little Resonating But Nice Wot And Idle Huge Difference Which Ever You Get An Insulation Kit Will Cut Down Own Resonating Sounds To The Interior Go Borla To X Pipe Or Not To X Pipe That Is The Question I Went No X Pipe I Like The Pippdy Poppyed Sound

You will find the SLP Loudmouths on the sale section for good prices from time to time. You are young, you know you want loud, do it!
