Default New Headers

Which headers will hook striaght up to the stock H-Pipe?? I do not want and X-pipe because I love the popping of my B&B Bullets! Will the SLP long tube package work. It can be found at http://www.tbyrnemotorsports.com/c5catalog.html

near the bottom.

Thanks

Doug

In the 3rd paragraph under the slp list it states you will need the slp h-down pipe and header installation kit (not included). The only ones the will work with the stock h pipe is the B&B, Borla, JBA, and BBK.

Keeping the stock H-pipe completely negates the point of long tube headers. With long tubes, high flow cats and x-pipe, you will still get the popping on decel.

Hi vertc51116 -

I have talked to LGM about their long tubes. bobby at LGMotorsports told me that there would be some popping on decelleration with the headers and x-pipe.

I kinda like that personality trait of my Z06 too....

best regards -

As Always, EG comes and lets me know what going on! Thanks EG. Depending on the price difference The headers and X-Pipe MAY be comign before the HEads and cam. This all is depending on if I get my new job! **fingers crossed**. Right now I am working at fast food $7.75/hr that is ONLY paying for the Vette. Nothing for it (besides Gas) Now I have the opertunity to earn $20/hr cutting glass all day but I was just promoted to manager and I am opening a new store Wednesday. ALL while I am 17 and still in High School. SO, I am going to do some research on the headers you mentioned EG as well as the AOA! Thanks you ONCE AGAIN for your help!

Hmmm. Looks like the entire Dynatech system from corvette garage is going to be $1600. Looks like i am going to have to take the new job and start saving! Unless I have been misled I believe this is less than the heads and cam SO... thats what I am going to do.

Thanks again to everyone and especially EG!

Headers are MUCH less than heads/cam. To get the best benefit from heads/cam, you will need headers and intake anyway, so you might as well get them before that.

Nice to see a 17old that's willing to go out and do some hard work for what he wants. So many want everything given to them. Good for you!
