Hello everyone, I have a 02 Z06 and i am looking for more HP as most of you are as well. Currently i have a Vararam intake, BBk 80 mm throttle body, Borla headers, and a Diablosport predator programmer. With these mods the car was dynoed at KTR performance and made 350.3 RWhp under load.
What else can i do to get more HP? I know the obvious answer would be to turbo charge or super charge it, but at the moment i dont have the money to do that. I'm looking to spend around $1500-$2000
Your current mods and measured rwhp do not align. The dyno number may be misquoted or misread. That 350 rwhp would be in the normal range for a bone stock car. Those mods should net roughly 20 more. So either the dyno number is wrong, or the tuning is way sub-optimal and took power off the table.
Before doing further mods, you might want to recheck your current set-up.
As for additional mods, what's your goal? If it's measurable performance, seek better traction and better driving techniques. They will give better numbers than just gears.
Your dyno is off. I have similar mods and I am over 380. Check timing and A/F ratio. Other than that a cam and a 90 mm throttle with LSX intake manifold. These will be my next mods after warrantee runs out. Good Luck.
My recommendation would be long tube headers. I got mine from LGM. They are high quality units and they really woke up the car. If you are dragging you will need a set of drag radials on a set of wheels. Check Tire Rack for a package deal.
My rwhp # is correct. There are 2 different kinds of Dynometers. I posted a link down below that explains. Basically with most Dynos the rollers have no "load" on them (free flowing). With the Dyno i was on the rollers were under load, wich makes it harder for your wheels to spin the rollers. Just read the faq they explain it a lot better
