Hello everyone, I have been a member of camaroz28.com for a while "94redform" and I'm in the process of looking for a 97-2000 c5. Finally got the ok from my wife, "was getting one regardless but preferred not to be single". I'm in no big hurry since i'm still getting the bugs worked out of my firebird so I can sell it. I've always admired the look of the C5 and I have never driven one yet, I can't wait to get one and start modding it. Not going to go too radical with it, maybe some headers and a supercharger, I'd like to keep it as driveable as possible since my firebird isn't and that kinda takes away from the fun.
After getting your C5, you'll never go back to a camaro or a firebird!!!! Before I got my vettes, i had a Mustang GT as well as a Cobra. Lets just say I don't even think about those cars any more, its C5 all the time!! Goodluck
A word to the wise. just because it doesn't have mods on it, doesn't mean it didn't have mods on it. Know what it looked like from factory before looking at any candidates. All too many people here buy or lease a Corvette and mod and abuse it then strip off the parts to sell it. Not much should look new/newer on a car with 30,000 miles. Clean spots are the second thing I look for after paint over spray. Carfax is only so reliable. Minor accidents won't be reported. But if you find the right car, you'll be happy even if its sitting on blocks in the garage like mine.
